It is South Baden’s largest privately financed corona relief operation. With the baden.fm emergency aid program, the Freiburg radio station is providing financial support to people from Lörrach to Offenburg who, because of the corona pandemic, are in need through no fault of their own.
An anonymous entrepreneur from northern Breisgau made the start: he turned to the broadcaster to find people in the region who were particularly badly hit by the Corona crisis via baden.fm. They should be helped with a sum of five thousand euros. This was the start of the baden.fm emergency aid program.
Inspired by the generous, anonymous help, other listeners have meanwhile chosen this route to support people in need in the region with donations in kind and money. A couple from Freiburg contributed 15,000 euros to the baden.fm emergency aid program. All donors have in common that they want to remain anonymous with their donation contributions.
“Thanks to these generous role models from South Baden, we have been able to help more than 30 people and their families directly, unbureaucratically and, above all, without delay. We are grateful that we can help so many Corona victims with the funds of the voluntary donors in a short time, ”says baden.fm Managing Director Christian Noll.
In conversations with those affected, Lisa and Reyk from the baden.fm morning show stated daily: “The emergencies are as colorful as life. The story of Stefan from Freiburg is exemplary: he is the father of two daughters and has lost his job in the catering trade. With the baden.fm emergency aid program, his family was able to pay two months’ rent. And for the children of Stefanie from Emmendingen, the laptops needed for home schooling could be obtained in this way. ”With the donations, baden.fm has already directly supported over thirty people and their families.
South Baden’s largest relief campaign can be continued at least until Pentecost 2020. Therefore, anyone who was innocently in need during the corona pandemic can still report to baden.fm. All important information is available on the broadcaster’s website: www.baden.fm.
