The guests showed a strong game in the first half. They stood compactly in the back and skillfully closed the rooms so that the SGFO rarely unfolded. Keeper Marco Herr destroyed two good opportunities for VfR Merzhausen. Jonas Schneider had the best chance for SGFO. After a great pass from Tim Bührer, he curved around the goalkeeper, but his shot was cleared before the line. The advantage was clearly on the part of the guests.

After the break, the SGFO came into play better. Tim Bührer and Linus Engler gave good shot opportunities. After an hour, Jasper Karlisch failed with a hand penalty to Marco Herr. Shortly afterwards another dangerous situation in the SGFO penalty area. But the safe referee Andreas Klopfer decided to continue playing. After a free kick by Luca Roser, Tobias Bühler and Jochen Zimmermann had a good opportunity in the margin, but the guest keeper cleared.

After 81 minutes, Jonas Schneider released the SGFO. After a pass from Luca Roser, he gave the keeper no chance. After that only the SGFO played. Mario Reinbold increased to 2-0 after Roman Reinbold’s cross. Further opportunities were missed. In the end, the SGFO won, especially after the first half, a little happily.
