Freezing Crisis in Podolsk Linked to Plant Headed by Putin Associate

The Kremlin began urgent nationalization of the cartridge factory. However, as it turned out, the enterprise was brought to a critical state by the former guard of the Russian dictator Igor Rudyka, as well as FSB colonel Igor Kushnikov. They have led it for the last year and a half.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case due to the ice collapse in Podolsk. The head of the boiler house, the director of the plant, as well as the deputy administration who signed the act of readiness of the boiler house for the heating season were arrested.

But the owners of the cartridge factory got away unscathed. Both allegedly managed to escape abroad.

FSB officer Kushnikov, according to the publication, in the late 90s – early 2000s was one of the leaders of the large Golyanovskaya organized crime group in Moscow. He successfully combined criminal activity with work in the intelligence service, where he rose to the rank of colonel.

The FSB officer headed the Klimovsk Ammunition Plant in May 2023. Before him, the enterprise was led by Rudyka, an ex-fighter of the Alpha group of the FSB and the Federal Security Service (FSO) of the Russian Federation. From 2017 to 2019, he was part of the personal security of dictator Putin.

The freezing Moscow region was a huge blow to the reputation of dictator Putin ahead of the presidential elections.
