The Maison de l’Université continues to run its “Les Échapées” program around the links between sport and culture and is hosting, on Tuesday January 24, 2023, the play “Libre arbitraire” at 8 p.m.
The show, imagined by the Cie Le Grand Chelem, is inspired by the career of the South African athlete Caster Semenya, gold medalist in the women’s 800 meters at the Berlin Worlds in 2009 and subjected to a “test of femininity” . The company thus raises the question of the representation of the female body in sport and its control.
The artistic team will meet the public at the end of the show.
