These free tickets for regular travelers will be valid throughout the year 2023 divided into three periods:

  • Between February 1, 2023 and April 30, 2023.
  • Between May 1, 2023 and August 31, 2023.
  • Between September 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023.

Acquisition

Users who want to buy these tickets may obtain them in advance of the validity start date and throughout the validity period through the usual marketing channels of each of the concessionary companies, who will provide the user with a unique code for that multi-trip ticket for the recurring route. To carry out the trip, the user must obtain a ticket that will be associated with the aforementioned title.

The concessionary company may not charge management expenses in the issuance of the tickets or in the sale of tickets associated with them.

The user must pay a deposit that will be refunded if the required recurrence is reached:

  • 20 euros deposit on journeys with a ticket price of up to 5.00 euros.
  • 35 euros deposit on journeys with a ticket price between 5.01 and 13.00 euros.
  • 50 euros deposit on journeys with a ticket price between 13.01 and 25.00 euros.
  • 65 euros deposit for journeys with a ticket price greater than 25.00 euros.

The concessionary company will be responsible for compliance with the conditions of creation, sale, use, return and proper use of multi-trip tickets in accordance with the provisions of this Resolution.

Conditions

The Resolution of the Secretary of State establishes that the ticket will be personal and non-transferable and for each period of validity, the acquisition of a single multi-trip ticket per person and origin and destination will only be allowed.

In addition, it will not be possible to make more than one round trip per day, unless it has been previously cancelled. Likewise, the user will not be able to buy tickets for consecutive trips if at least three times the duration of the outbound trip has not elapsed between one trip and another.

If the user does not cancel a trip formalized and not made at least 24 hours in advance, it will be considered improper use, as well as the use of a ticket by a person other than the holder.

Thus, the deposit will be withdrawn and seized from travelers with inappropriate use when these practices recognized as inappropriate have been detected three times.

deposit return

As for the return of the deposit deposited by the user, it will be made whenever 12 trips or more are made effectively in the first quarter of application and 16 trips or more per quarter between May 1 and December 31.

The deposits paid by credit card will be returned automatically by the concessionary company, without prior request by the user, to the credit card with which the multi-trip ticket was obtained. This return will be made at the end of the validity period and within a maximum period of one month. For tickets obtained with payment in cash, the refund must be requested by the user to the concessionary company, within a period not exceeding two months from the end of the validity period of the multi-trip ticket.
