Continuing the tradition, for the fourteenth year in a row, the Riga Culture and Folk Art Center “Mazā Ģilde” presents free jazz concerts to Rigans and guests of Riga on Thursday afternoons in the summer months.
From July 2 and until August 27 in the garden of the Small Guild every Thursday at At 17.00 it will be possible to hear free jazz music concerts performed by appreciated Latvian musicians. JAM ORCHESTRA and CITY JAZZ BIG BAND will take part in the concerts this summer.
On July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, JAM ORCHESTRA will play music in the Garden of the Small Guild (Romāns Vendiņš – piano, Pēteris Liepiņš – bass, Zintis Žvarts – saxophone, Andrejs Jevsjukovs – guitar, Gundars Lintiņš – drums). On August 6, 13, 20, 27, CITY JAZZ BIG BAND will perform under the direction of Kārlis Vanags.
The event is organized in accordance with national epidemiological safety regulations. It should be noted that for security reasons, the number of visitors to the Garden area of the Small Guild is limited. Those interested are invited to enjoy the event while being in the territory of Livu Square and behaving responsibly towards their own and others’ health.
The fourteenth concert cycle “Jazz in Old Riga – Small Guild Garden” is organized by RKTMC “Small Guild” with the support of the Riga City Council Education, Culture and Sports Department.
