Frederik said during his first working visit that his brother is doing well. Prince Joachim suffered a blood clot in the brain last month and underwent emergency surgery in Toulouse. He endured that operation well, according to Frederik.
Last week, the crown prince visited his brother in France. “You were able to see the picture of him and me”, said Frederik in Kalundborg. “Thanks to quick action, he got off well,” said Queen Margrethe’s eldest son. “Of course it was a very terrible experience for him.”
The Crown Prince went on to say that he admires the medics who helped Joachim. “We are grateful that they know exactly what to do in such cases.” Earlier it became clear that Joachim will almost certainly make a full recovery. In France, the 51-year-old royal is quietly working on his recovery.
