Freddo! Basuki tries to pay tolls without stopping driving “cars”

Jakarta

Indonesia will implement the system immediately non-stop toll transaction or Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF). With this transaction system, toll road users no longer need to open transaction windows.

The transaction system is currently under preparation. In fact, Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Minister Basuki Hadimuljono tried to directly drive the simulators to test the transaction system.

This is according to the post uploaded by the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Instagram account as quoted by detikcom, on Monday (5/12/2022).

“Minister Basuki is no longer playing with toy cars on the playground, but trying out a cashless or Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF) contactless driving simulator using the Cantas application on a smartphone,” the account wrote.

He explained that later motorists passing on the toll road will find it easier to transact. Motorcyclists only need to download and register their personal data in the Cantas application.

“So, after the fee calculation is linked to the application, the money of each payment instrument belonging to each user will also be automatically reduced,” he continued.

In his statement, Basuki supports this transaction system. Basuki also said there would be a transition period of several months to ensure the MLFF transaction system ran smoothly.

“Currently, various preparations are underway so that toll users can immediately enjoy driving on the highway without having to queue at the toll booth,” said BPJT’s statement.
