Franz Pirolt, FPÖ member of parliament and mayor of Strasbourg in Carinthia, caused a stir with a Facebook post including a photo of dead, torn sheep. “Should I encounter a wolf in the territory, I would kill it and I will not act on the 3’s’ (shoot, shovel, be silent) but report myself! Because if the legislature is unwilling or unable, protect the citizens and their belongings, then you have the right and the obligation to do this yourself,” wrote Pirolt.
