Faced with the coronavirus epidemic, Monoprix and Franprix now offer a free telephone ordering and home delivery service. The offer is available to everyone, but it is particularly intended for the elderly or frail. They may prefer to avoid going to the store for fear of being contaminated. These customers do not necessarily have access to the Internet to place orders online, nor the habit of the process, explains The Parisian.
For these consumers, the two brands offer a choice between several baskets. The first is sold at 30 euros and contains a lot of food and basic hygiene and maintenance products. The other costs 10 euros more and the products are organic. Monoprix also offers a third possibility, with food from its “gourmet” range at a price of 45 euros per basket.
Two toll-free numbers to contact
“Each time, there is everything so that a person can have the essentials for three or four days,” says Diane Coliche, executive director general of Monoprix. “This service (…) will cost exactly the same price as (…) in stores,” said Franprix director of strategy and innovation, François Alarcon. The idea is really that we have a public utility, which is to feed in particular, and that we adapt our services to these exceptional circumstances “.
Payment will be possible by bank card or check, and even in cash for Franprix. The service is currently available in 250 Monoprix supermarkets and in 120 Franprix stores in Paris and the inner suburbs. To take advantage of this, two toll-free numbers have been created: 0 805 620 370 for Franprix and 0 800 05 8000 for Monoprix.
