France condemns the assassination of a World Food Program aid worker in Yemen. Any harm to humanitarian workers is a violation of international humanitarian law.
France expresses its sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim as well as to the World Food Programme, whose remarkable work in Yemen it salutes.
It recalls the obligation to protect humanitarian personnel and calls on the Yemeni authorities to shed full light on this crime. There can be no impunity for crimes committed against humanitarian personnel.
