A 4-year-old child died this Friday morning in Roissy-en-Brie, in Seine et Marne, on the way to school. He was overturned by car driven by parentshortly after 8 a.m.
The child had just arrived at the fir tree school, his mother was accompanying him. He was driving cycling on the sidewalk when a father, who came to drop off his children, backed up with his 4×4. A maneuver to get out of his parking space. He did not see the child and crushed him. Despite first aid and the rapid arrival of firefighters, the child died on the spot. The firefighters could not do anything.
Driver placed in police custody
There were no others injured. The mayor of Roissy-en-Brie and the academy inspector went to school in the morning. A psychological cell for witnesses to the accident is open. The driver of the 4×4 is in police custody at the Pontault-Combault police station.
