On the initiative of professor Denis Malvy, an infectious disease specialist and head of the tropical diseases and travel unit at the Bordeaux University Hospital, the trial, whose name is Coverage, will be carried out on an outpatient basis, insists the Pellegrin University Hospital. “While clinical trials generally take place in hospitals, the Coverage trial is unique in that it takes place directly in patients’ homes.
