Surya Tjandra has declared his resignation from the PSI. He stated this when he was a speaker in a discussion at the Total Politik office on October 23, 2022.

While still a PSI cadre, Surya Tjandra elected by President Jokowi as Deputy Minister of Agricultural Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Defense Agency until June 2022.

When he was no longer serving as a wamen but still had PSI cadre status, Surya Tjandra openly supported 2017-2022 DKI Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan advancing in the 2024 presidential election when he starred in the Totak Politik podcast, on July 28 2022

Although at that time the PSI had already declared that it would not support Anies Baswedan.

Zamara Amany

Zamara Amany known as one of the popular PSI cadres in the community. During the 2019 Pileg, Tsamara, who ran for DPR RI from the Jakarta II constituency area, won 140,557 votes. However, Tsamara did not qualify for Senayan because the PSI’s national vote count was below the parliamentary threshold.

On Monday, April 18, 2022, Tsamara Amany, then president of the PSI DPP, resigned.

After serving 5 years as DPP chairman @psi_id, today 18th April 2022, I resign as PSI administrator and cadre. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to PSI. Forever, the PSI will always be my first love in politics.” Tsamara said via her official Instagram account on Monday, April 18, 2022.

Sunny Tanuwidjaja

Sunny Tanuwidjaja resigned as Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). Sunny’s decline is believed to be related to his political stance supporting DKI Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan. Sunny’s position is different from that of the PSI which has openly stated that it does not support Anies in the 2024 presidential election.

PSI Advisory Board Vice Chair Grace Natalie confirmed that Sunny had resigned a long time ago. “Bro Sunny stepped down as Secretary of the Board of Trustees about a year ago because he was allegedly helping Pak Anies. He has been replaced by Raja Juli Antoni,” Grace said when she was contacted on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

However, Grace said her party respects whatever decisions its members choose. “Politics is a choice,” she said. “But in principle, the PSI will definitely not support Pak Anies because even though he claims to be a pluralist, historical facts show that he played a role in identity politics to gain power.”

The closeness of Sunny and Anies Baswedan is included in the report Time magazine Edition of 25 June 2022.
