On Monday morning, trains will resume running on the Eindhoven-Den Bosch and Eindhoven-Tilburg routes. The movement of trains was blocked for some time in the morning due to overworked work. Rail traffic returned to normal around 12.00.
According to a ProRail spokesperson, there were problems with the technical installation in Best’s tunnel. “The trains could therefore not pass safely through the tunnel. Travelers were advised to keep an eye on travel information or look for an alternative for their journey,” a spokesperson for Prorail said.
No big crowd
“It was busy in Eindhoven Central, but not busier than usual,” said reporter René van Hoof. “There wasn’t even panic or chaos.” All the desks in the station were occupied. Travelers spent time with their smartphones or laptops open. Other travelers waited patiently for the train and had an extra cup of coffee until then.
