Four junior and senior high school students living in Kagoshima City were arrested on suspicion of fraud after purchasing about 925,000 yen with an acquaintance’s credit card.

Four people were arrested on suspicion of fraud: a 19-year-old high school boy and a 17-year-old unemployed girl living in Kagoshima City, a 14-year-old junior high school boy in the prefecture, and a 19-year-old unemployed girl with no fixed address.

According to the Kagoshima Minami Police Station, the four conspired to visit a recycle shop in Kagoshima City twice a day on the 28th of last month, and used a friend’s credit card to collect 15 items, including hats, bags, and wallets. It is suspected that I bought a product worth 5,000 yen.

The owner of the card reported to the police that it had been used illegally on the same day, and four people were identified from security camera footage.

The four people are acquaintances, and the card owner got to know him through the Internet.

The police did not disclose the identity of the four people, citing “an obstacle to the investigation.”
