Four Hands On One Belly couple gives update after high-profile episode

The love story of Anna-Maria and Angelo is a special one: the couple gets to know each other via Instagram and when Anna-Maria decides to visit him and takes the train from Friesland to South Limburg, she becomes pregnant. She forgot to take the pill from Friesland and because she has no money for a new one, she leaves it there. Before Anna-Maria and Angelo know it, she’s pregnant. Working is not an option, because then Angelo’s mother (where the couple lives) runs the risk of losing her benefits.

But because Angelo is still under 21, he can earn 400 euros gross per month without risking his mother’s benefits. In Tuesday’s episode, after the birth of daughter Felicia, Taeke takes the brand new daddy Angelo along to look for a job.

Eventually he ends up in a pizzeria, but Angelo tells RTL Boulevard that it turned out not to be a perfect match. He writes: ‘Anna and I are now working, indeed the pizzeria didn’t suit me, unfortunately, after which I managed to find a nice and suitable job.’ He is currently also following the Assistant Services and Care training.

And there’s more good news: the couple have since left their mother’s house. ‘We are doing well’, said Angelo.
