The administration of Nicolás Maduro reported this Tuesday, July 21, that in the country there was four deceased and 440 cases of coronavirus.
With the report, Venezuela counts 12,774 people who have been infected by COVID-19. From this figure: 5,671 are active cases and 6,983 (55%) are recovered.
Maduro’s vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, explained that this is 412 community cases and 28 imported. Of these last 26 come from Colombia and two of Brazil.
The state Miranda It was the region that reported the highest number of cases by community transmission in the last hours: 106.
It is followed by the Capital District with 78, Sucre with 72 infections, La Guaira with 53, Monagas with 42, Carabobo with 30, Lara with 11, Táchira with nine cases, Bolívar with seven, Anzoátegui with two, Delta Amacuro with one and Amazonas with A case.
The official indicated that in Caracas, the parishes such as Sucre (Catia), El Valle, Coche, Antímano and La Vega are the ones that accumulate the most contagions.
Coronavirus deaths
Delcy Rodríguez indicated that this Tuesday the country reached 120 deaths of people after becoming infected with the virus SARS-CoV-2.
Of the four deaths reported in the last hours, two were the Zulia: One was a 51-year-old man, a resident of Ojeda city, health professional and teacher at the University of Health Sciences.
The second case was a 58-year-old woman, a resident of the José María Semprún municipality, dedicated to household chores. She had contact with family merchants from the Mercado de Las Pulgas.
The other two deaths are from a 79-year-old woman, a resident of the state. La Guaira, dedicated to household chores that was infected because there were positive cases in the area where she lived, and a 54-year-old man, a resident of the parish January 23, informal merchant who sold products in Catia.
Of the active cases, 4,666 patients are hospitalized, 911 in comprehensive diagnostic centers and 94 in private clinics.
More PCR tests
The ruler Nicolás Maduro ad this Tuesday the activation of a molecular laboratory of the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (Ivic) for the realization of more PCR tests, which allow the accurate diagnosis of the coronavirus.
