Forza Horizon 5 may be released for Xbox Series X | S next year. According to the usually well-informed journalist Jeff Grubb Playground Games would like to break with tradition by releasing two Forza Horizon games in a row, while Forza Motorsport game would be released at a later date.

“We saw Forza Motorsport in a teaser a few months ago, but I think we’ll get a new Forza Horizon game first and expect it to come out next year,” said Grubb. “They find themselves in a remarkable situation where Playground says every now and then that they are ready to go first. I think I already know the setting, but I’ll let them announce it myself. ”
The last game in the Horizon series was Forza Horizon 4 from 2018. This game has since been updated for Xbox Series X | S. Since the launch of the first Horizon game, a new version has appeared every two years and according to this schedule, the next title in the series is even a year late.
