With the new shirt sponsor Targobank, second division soccer team Fortuna Düsseldorf has further expanded its economic reorientation.
Two weeks after the presentation of a ticket revolution with initially three home games with free entry in the coming season, the club has a new sponsor on their jerseys for the next five years with the bank. The company, headquartered in Düsseldorf, replaces its long-standing predecessor, Henkel.
Targobank is also one of the four partners who are supporting the “Fortuna for everyone” project with a financial volume of 45 million euros for the next five years and want to make all home games free of charge after the pilot phase in the new season.
The financial contributions for the lettering of the bank on the jersey are included in the total volume of 45 million euros.
“It’s the biggest jersey deal in the club’s history,” emphasized Fortuna’s CEO Alexander Jobst on Wednesday at the presentation of the new partner. This gives the club long-term planning security. The other partners for the new model over the next five years are Provincial Versicherung, the American information technology company Hewlett Packard Enterprise and the Common Goal initiative.
