Leaks suggest that the decline will occur gradually, via separate stages. Stage 1 should start on July 1, and discover several places of the game, currently submerged.

It’s almost a certainty: the water will begin to recede in the coming days on Fortnite. The questions are: when will the water level drop? And will it cause a change in the places that are currently swallowed up? Many dataminers, including the French Yanteh, agree that the drop in water level will begin to be noticeable Wednesday July 1st. Probably after an update, the tide will change so that the leakers call it “stage 1”

We therefore deduce that the tide will gradually recede, via several successive stages, gradually discovering previously swallowed-up places.

We can see that Stadium 1 is actually a rather small drop, barely ten meters if the map is to be believed. Craggy Cliffs should slowly emerge, and Steamy Stacks will be a little more accessible than before, among other things.

It’s a different story for some places that were initially close to the water, like the shark for example. In stage 1, the latter will probably not be accessible at all.

The whole thing will now be to know if Epic Games has surprises in store for us with the rediscovery of emerging places. We know for example that Atlantis (the kingdom of Aquaman) is in the game files, but other completely new places could appear in the coming weeks. Take a good look under the surface!
