Formula 1? This topic is far from closed for me, says Schumacher after the end at Haas – F1sport.cz

Mick Schumacher made his Haas debut last year alongside Nikita Mazepin. This year, his teammate has been the more experienced Kevin Magnussen. Schumacher was first at Silverstone, where he finished eighth. In the following race at the Red Bull Ring, he bettered his best when he finished sixth at the Austrian Grand Prix. But he didn’t add any more points.

“This will be my last race with the Haas F1 team,” Schumacher said on social media.

“I will admit that I am very disappointed by the decision not to extend the contract. However, I would like to thank both Haas and Ferrari for giving me this opportunity. Those years together helped me mature technically and personally. When things got complicated, I understood how much I love this sport”.

“It was bumpy at times, but I’ve always improved, learned a lot and now I know for sure that I deserve a place in Formula 1. This topic is far from closed for me. Failures only make you stronger. My fire it burns for Formula 1 and I will fight hard to get back on the grid.”
