The Hollywood Reporter reports that a major bidding war has broken out over a Formula 1 film. It must be directed by Joseph Kosinski starring for actor Brad Pitt.
The film doesn’t have a title yet, but it’s getting attention from a whole host of major companies. Paramount, MGM, Sony, Universal and Disney have already bid for the rights. But not only that, streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+ would also offer.
A bidding war
Not only are Brad Pitt and Joseph Kosinski involved in the project, it is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and writer Ehren Kruger.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that racing legend Lewis Hamilton is also getting involved in the project in some way.
Nothing is known about the possible story of the film. Pitt and Kosinski have been trying to make a racing movie for a long time. In 2013, the idea was to Go Like Hell but that project never materialized and turned into Ford v. Ferrari, with another director and actor.
