Former US President Donald Trump Officially Arrested and Facing Federal Charges in Miami

There are 37 criminal charges against the former president, due to the discovery of classified documents by the FBI in his Florida mansion.

The detention is part of official routine before Trump goes before a federal judge to hear the charges. By them he will pleaded not guiltyas already made clear by his lawyers.

Former Trump aide Walt Nauta is also charged in the case and has also appeared in court.

It was Trump’s second courtroom appearance in recent months. In April, he pleaded not guilty to New York state charges related to paying money to buy the silence of a porn star.

Trump is the first former US president to be charged with federal crimes.

Trump will be fingerprinted, but not photographed or handcuffed. He will also sign a number of documents. After hearing the charges, he will be released from custody and allowed to leave the federal courthouse.

Due to security measures, he was not seen entering the courthouse in Miami. All this is happening for the sake of the assembled Trump sympathizers in the court area. The protest is proceeding peacefully.
