“Former President of Acciaierie d’Italia Franco Bernabè Talks Economy on LA7’s Otto e Mezzo”

Franco Bernabè displeases Lilli Gruber. It all happens at the opening of the talk “Otto e Mezzo” on LA7, on Friday 21 April. The presenter observed that during the week there was talk of ethnic replacement, anti-fascism, immigration, tax relief for couples who have children, but little about the real economy. She then asks Bernabè, former president of Acciaierie d’Italia: “What is the Meloni government’s budget after six months?” and the seraphic manager: “Quite positive”.

He then detailed his thoughts: “The Italian economy is doing better than others, the social situation is better than many other European countries, the spread is at lower levels than a year ago. I would say that in essence Giorgia Meloni hasn’t done anything worrying for the markets. So if that continues, the Italian economy should do relatively well in a very turbulent world right now.”

Gruber listened, collected and sought support from Massimo Giannini, director of “La Stampa” who however substantially confirmed Bernabè’s economic vision: “It is true that the government has not messed up. He did not alarm the markets and respected the balance sheet even if public opinion expected not ‘not to do’, but to do something significant given the many electoral promises – argued the journalist -. So to balance the lack of concrete measures to support income and work, the right turns to ideology”.
