Former Philadelphia Union goalkeeper is champion with his country | sports

A former Philadelphia Union goalkeeper ends the year as champion for his native country after winning the 10th edition of the FIFA Arab Cup on 18 December.

Rais M’Bolhi and his country of Algeria won their first cup of the tournament on December 18 with a 2-0 victory over Tunisia.

The African squad won in overtime.

M’Bolhi signed with Union on July 30, 2014. His debut was delayed after suffering a car accident in Paris, France. He played in jersey number 92.

His time at the MLS club only lasted nine games and was not considered one of the best.
