former members of civil society with Alain Carignon found their own movement

The six former running mates of Alain Carignon in the last Grenoble municipal elections had arranged to meet the press in a cafe on the Place de Gordes, close to the Jardin de Ville. Led by Magali Féret, ex number two from the civil society list with Alain Carignon, the Citizen Building Movement (MCC) wants to influence local political life and engage in dialogue with all organizations.

How do we plan to proceed? With humility. – Magali Féret, president of the MCC.

“The goal is to broaden the debate in Grenoble” explains Magali Féret. “We plan to invite the people of Grenoble, every month, month and a half, to a conference on a specific theme with an outside speaker so as not to accuse us of being pro or anti Piolle” she continues. It is with these conferences that the new movement (which also has the status of a political party) will be able to find a political identity and make its first proposals.. The first conference is scheduled for September and the theme will focus on Security.

A party that is not in the wake of Alain Carignon

When the question is asked, MCC leadership cut short. “We have dissociated ourselves from him and we will discuss with him as with the other parties. If we consider that an idea is good coming from such or such party then we will support it” specifies the five members of the office, the last not being present. “But it is not because we left our posts that we want to do battle with this party, far from it. We are still on very good terms with Alain Carignon, but we no longer participate in meetings. And in the civil society list, there are all the same right-wing parties whose ideas do not correspond to us “ adds Magali Féret.

“We can give our proposals directly by phone to Mr. Piolle’s office where to contact the oppositions to do so too” explains Magali Féret. “But every citizen can do it, you still have to know it” she continues.
