Former Marvel’s Avengers developer apologizes for game

Cesar Virtosu, former creative director of the Virtuos studio that helped develop Marvel’s Avengers, gave an interview to Edge. During the conversation, the journalist touched on the topic of the imminent closure of the game, to which his interlocutor replied only:

Let’s just say it was a very difficult production. I apologize for it.

Square Enix previously announced plans to end support Marvel’s Avengers. On March 31, the last update 2.8 will be released, which will make changes to the balance, disable the ability to donate and make all cosmetic items free.

As for Virtosa himself, he is currently working on his “dream game” – The Lords of the Fallen.
