Member of Commission VI of the PDI Perjuangan faction, Evita Nursanty, questioned the urgency of PT KAI’s desire to imported used cars from Japan. Evita questioned the condition of chaos or chaos if they did not import.
“Now do we chaos? If we don’t import these goods, what are we? chaos,” said Evita at a hearing with PT KAI, Monday (27/3/2023).
According to Evita, the condition of the passengers chaos on the train only occurs at certain moments, such as Lebaran and New Years. Meanwhile according to the current condition chaos not occur.
“We usually do chaos it’s at new year’s, we usually are chaos it’s Eid, it’s already past all thechaosours, is this an urgency if we don’t import chaos? So that is also a question for me,” he said.
Evita assessed the desire to used car imports stems from the failure of PT KAI in planning. Moreover, according to him, the reason for importing used trains is not a new reason.
“The fault is rather than failing in planning, if you are right planning you will not have this happen, you should Already know nih how many trains do you have, how many are old, can’t be used anymore, how many passengers have increased, this isn’t sudden data. You already have this and it should be a benchmark for you in making arrangements,” he said.
“If I open it again, the reasons for importing used cars are the same ajaINKA has not been able to do it, so for the same reason it is not a new reason,” he continued.
He then suggested that PT KAI conduct a thorough external audit. According to him, this needs to be done to know the exact amount needed.
“An audit must be carried out, you have done an audit, you have explained, but so that it is fair, it is not an internal audit but an external audit. What is the need for the next 5 years, the next 10 years, this must be in place so that the steps you mentioned earlier will be decided It has clear benchmarks,” he said.
