The former holiday home on Saydaer Strasse in Olbernhau burned down. Around 10 p.m. a large number of firefighters were alerted. Approach and extinguishing work is very difficult for the emergency services because the empty building is in the middle of the forest. It burned to the ground.
The fire brigades Olbernhau, Pfaffroda, Kleinneuschönberg, Niederneuschönberg, Oberneuschönberg, Schönfeld, Rothenthal, Blumenau, Dittmannsdorf and Zöblitz were in action. Furthermore, the district fire chief, rescue service and the police were on site.
The cause of the fire is still unclear. The police have started the investigation. Concrete damage information has not yet been released.
