Han Ki-beom said that his two sons had become independent and were living with his wife. Han Ki-beom introduced his wife, Ahn Mi-ae, as “the youngest daughter of a rich family, and she also worked as an advertising model and a minor actress.”
Ahn said, “I met my husband at a ballroom,” and said, “On the day I met, I thought, ‘Is there anyone who can communicate like this?’ It felt like I was talking to a writer, not an athlete.”

He said that after his retirement, he had a hard time with the business he started failing. Han Ki-bum confessed that he tried his hand at various businesses afterward, but failed every time and lost all the money he had saved as a basketball player. He said, “At the time, I had no money and was kicked out of a rented house on the outskirts.”
Regarding the situation at the time, Mr. Ahn said, “I thought it would be better to die every day.” He added, “There was nothing I could do properly for the children,” adding, “As I, a full-time housewife, jumped into the livelihood front, things got a little better.”

Han Ki-bum also revealed the scar on his chest. He underwent two heart surgeries and said, “His father and brother passed away from heart disease.” Han Ki-beom explained, “The hospital said that I would die 100%,” and “It was a rare genetic disease, Marfan syndrome. I wanted to give up, but my wife gave me courage.”
In addition, Han Ki-bum said, “I was very worried about passing on this dangerous disease to my children.”
