Forest fires at Saint-Tropez still not under control | Abroad

French President Emmanuel Macron, who is vacationing in the region in his summer residence, has traveled to the area to thank the fire brigade. In the Var region, at least twelve campsites were evacuated in the night from Monday to Tuesday in connection with the advancing conflagration. As far as is known, no campsites have been evacuated again.

The heat in southern Europe has caused forest fires in several countries: areas of nature also went up in flames in Spain, Greece and Turkey.
