Foreigners bought these stocks even though the JCI turned to the red zone this afternoon

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) turned into the red this afternoon after strengthening in early trading.

President Joko Widodo’s decision to implement Emergency PPKM made the JCI enter the red zone, dropping 5.45 points or 0.09% to 5,980.03 in session I trading, Thursday (1/7).

Citing data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) through RTI, the total volume of stock trading on the IDX this afternoon reached 10.45 billion with a transaction value of Rp 6.33 trillion. There were 256 stocks that fell, 213 stocks that rose and 155 stocks whose value did not change.

Foreign investors noted net sell of Rp 13.64 billion in the first session of trading in all markets. However, foreigners are also recorded to have collected a number of these stocks when the JCI was red.

Foreign investors recorded the largest net buy in shares of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) IDR 60.7 billion. ASII shares rose 1.21% to Rp 5,000 in trading this afternoon. ASII’s share trading volume reached 24.60 million with a transaction value of Rp 124.3 billion.

Shares of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) is also being hunted by foreigners for Rp. 60.3 billion. INDF shares also shot up 4.86% to Rp 6,475 per share. INDF’s share trading volume reached 16.4 million with a transaction value of Rp 107.3 billion.

Then foreigners also collect shares of PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) IDR 30.2 billion. ICBP shares also rose 3.37% to Rp 8,425 per share. ICBP’s share trading volume reached 12.97 million with a transaction value of Rp 110.8 billion.
