A German and a Japanese car. There is no trace of Italy in the minister’s garage Adolfo Urso which, precisely in the name of Made in Italy, contested Stellantis, a group owned by Exor which it also controls Republic, for the choice to christen the new model of the Alfa Romeo brand “Milano”. The CEO of the Biscione car manufacturer, Jean-Philippe Learned, following the controversy he decided to change the name of the car to “Junior”. “A car called Milano cannot be produced in Poland”, Urso contested.

And it turns out, in fact, that Adolfo Urso’s car fleet is made up of a 2021 Volkswagen T Cross and an older Toyota Raw4, registered in 2006. Two SUVs, neither of which can be traced back to Italy. In recent days, Minister Urso reiterated that Italy needs more car manufacturers, not just Stellantis, thus opening up to the Chinese industry which, with the Dongfeng brand, has made it known that it is ready to start production in the country.
