In the post-election analyzes, little attention was paid to the thanks given by Andrzej Duda on the election evening, and I believe that at least one unobvious name that was then spoken of by the president is worth paying attention to. It is about Marcin Mastalerka, co-author of the winning Duda campaign from 2015.

Much was said about his involvement during the campaign. He gave several times in interviews that he was not entirely satisfied with the work of Andrzej Duda’s staff. At the same time, he did not hide that he was in constant contact with the candidate of Law and Justice who was fighting for re-election. But the words of Andrzej Duda, which we heard on the election evening in Pułtusk, probably speak of his real commitment.
I would like to thank my friend Marcin Mastalerka as well. Marcin is no longer in active politics, he left it, but for the rescue land he came and helped us, our daily staff work, looking at the strategy, preparing further actions with us. Problems with the staff
It was not necessary to look behind the scenes of the work of Duda’s staff to notice that not everything works as it should. The very beginning was not the best. The scene was quite eloquent when the president introduced his staff at the beginning of the campaign and immediately went on the campaign route. Staff staff in the room were alone. I have heard from several people that it was a signal that the president is not entirely satisfied with what this staff looks like. Later, there were problems with lawyer Jolanta Turczynowicz-Kieryłło, who quickly became a burden on Duda’s campaign. To this day, it is not known how she became the head of the president’s staff. During the campaign, there were also questions about the involvement of Joachim Brudzinski, who was officially the head of the organizational staff, but it is difficult to indicate any of his activity. It was bad even on Twitter. But the same can also be accused of some members of the Law and Justice MP who, against the background of a group of “zeobrists”, came out really pale. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who tirelessly visited several places every day, put a lot of effort into this campaign.
Summary
This victory did not come easily, it came in great pain. Certainly, for many weeks at the Presidential Palace and Nowogrodzka, there will be something to discuss. There are many lessons to be learned. In 3.5 years Polish society will really be different. It will no longer be possible to talk about “8 years of the Tusk and Kopacz government.” It will be a distant past. And finally, it may outrage a few people, but sometimes I had the impression that the president is fighting in this campaign completely alone.
