For Honor: Year 4 with fewer heroes, but with Battle Pass

Ubisoft is also currently making major changes to its live service games, which have been available for some time. After Rainbow Six: Siege, this also affects For Honor, which will be given a different focus in the new year than was previously the case.

After Ubisoft already major innovations in the tactical shooter for the new year Rainbow Six: victories has decided it now has the online action game For Honor Caught. This is now the fourth year of new content, but some things are different now than before.

In Year 4 there are only two new heroes, which is a reduction compared to the offer in Year 3 and Year 2. There have been four new heroes in the game in the past two years. It is currently still unclear how these two protagonists are actually acquired, because previously, fresh characters were always part of the annual season pass, which was subject to a fee – but this was also canceled.

Instead, Ubisoft is now jumping on the currently prevailing train and will also switch For Honor to the model of regular Battle Pass offers. The first such Battle Pass with unlockable content is said to be directly available in Season 1 of Year 4. It bears the name “Hope” and will start shortly from February 6, 2020.

The Battle Pass – which is also the case in most cases – consists of 100 levels that you can unlock and climb. There is a free and a paid premium path. In the course of the 100 levels, you can get cosmetic items – including new weapons, beheadings, effects and more – in the equivalent of one million steel, the in-game currency, in both variants. You can progress by playing games, completing arcade quests, daily challenges and more.
