Apple confirmed what For All Mankind will have a third season on Apple TV +. The popular Ronald D Moore series will join other productions such as Dickinson or Ted Lasso on the list of Apple Originals that ensure its continuation.

The third season of For All Mankind it will be made to wait for a long time as the eye is on the second. In a total of 10 episodes, the series will continue the story of an alternate reality where the Russians won the space race, now set in the 1980s.

The second season starts in 1983, in a world where Cold War tensions are at their peak. Ronald Reagan is already in power and The United States faces Russia for control of some areas of the Moon rich in resources, so the Department of Defense moves to the Mission Control Center in Houston.

According to the synopsis, the second season brings out a conflict that could lead to nuclear war. The tensions between the United States and Russia are critical and the militarization of NASA only makes matters worse. Some characters will use this moment to promote their own interests.

For All Mankind will receive new stars who will be joined by Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones and other leading men. Coral Peña (The Post) will be the adult version of Aleida Rosales, daughter of Octavio Rosales, both Mexican immigrants whom we saw in the first season. Cinthy Wu (Before I Fall) will play Kelly, the daughter of an astronaut, while Casey W. Johnson (GLOW) will be Danny Stevens, son of astronaut Fat Stevens (Michael Dorman).

The exclusive Apple TV + series is written and directed by Ronald D. Moore, who we know by Battlestar Galactica and other science fiction series. The argument is interesting, since it raises a uchrony where the Russians first reached the Moon and forever changed the world landscape.

The First season from For All Mankind enjoyed great acceptance among the audience and ensured its continuation, although production was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. After a forced hiatus at the beginning of the year, filming resumed in August with a view to a world premiere in early 2021.

The new season of For All Mankind will have 10 episodes. The first one will be launched on February 19, 2021 and later one will be released every week.
