To date, the MŠK Žilina football club has canceled the liquidation, which it got to at the end of March. The seven-time Slovak champion will thus continue from 1 July in the same condition as before entering into liquidation.

Žilina also received a license for the next year of the league season. The current one is being completed by the junior club, after giving notice to 17 professional A-team footballers in March, who allegedly refused to accept a significant reduction in salary in connection with the coronavirus crisis.
According to the šport.sk server, the reason for the cancellation of the liquidation to date is the fact that June 30 is the last day for submitting the results of licensing proceedings to UEFA. Žilina is second in the table of the Slovak league behind a certain champion Slovan Bratislava.

According to šport.sk, it is now possible that released players will claim financial compensation for the termination of contracts shortly after the transition to liquidation.
