In connection with a football school under the auspices of Bamble IF, three football coaches from Italy have come to Norway. One has tested positive for the coronavirus.
– The football coaches arrived by plane at Sandefjord Airport Torp on Saturday morning. At the request of Bamble municipality, the three were tested for corona after arrival. A full PCR test was taken of all three people. In one of these, covid-19 has been detected, the municipality writes in one press release.
The person in question is now in isolation and the other two have been quarantined at Quality Hotel Skjærgården.
– The hotel cooperates well with the municipality and takes care of necessary infection considerations, the municipality writes further.
In consultation with Bamble IF, the municipality has decided to postpone the start of the football school, which should have started today, until further notice.
– Bamble municipality now conducts infection tracking and maps who these people have been in contact with. The municipality has also informed the National Institute of Public Health and the County Governor’s emergency department, it says press release.
