Loaned without an option to buy at Genoa this winter, Kevin Strootman has found playing time and colors. The midfielder would see himself staying in Italy where, unlike Olympique de Marseille, he feels desired.
Olympique de Marseille is not rid of Kevin Strootman. Already pushed for release last summer, the 31-year-old only joined Genoa on loan without an option to buy in January. In any case, the Dutchman likes the current 13th in Serie A for two simple reasons. First of all, the Marseillais regained playing time since he is regularly established. But above all, Kevin Strootman ensures that he feels good at Genoa where he received a good reception. Or much better conditions than those offered by OM, whose leaders do not want him.

The good news for OM is that Kevin Strootman seems keen to continue the adventure in Italy. It remains to be seen whether all parties involved will be able to reach an agreement. A priori, the Marseille club should not be greedy on the transfer fee. On the other hand, the big salary of the player could again pose a problem knowing that his contract does not expire until 2023.
