Food Holding Officially Formed, Shares of 5 SOEs Transferred to RNI

The shares of five food SOEs, namely PT Indonesia Trading Company, PT Sang Hyang Seri, PT Perikanan Indonesia, PT Berdikari, and PT Garam were officially transferred to PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) or RNI as the parent company. Holding BUMN Pangan.

This marked the official formation of the Food SOE Holding with the signing of the Inbreng Deed of government shares between RNI and the five Food SOEs which was held on Friday, January 7, 2022.

This is after obtaining the blessing of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) through Government Regulation (PP) Number 118 of 2021 concerning the addition of the Republic of Indonesia’s State Equity Participation into the share capital of PT RNI (Persero), and accompanied by the Decree of the Minister of Finance (KMK) Number 555/ KMK.06/2021 concerning the Determination of the Value of the Republic of Indonesia’s State Equity Participation in the Share Capital of PT RNI (Persero) which has also been signed by the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.

SOE Minister Erick Thohir previously said that the establishment of a BUMN holding creates added value, efficiency, supply chain strengthening, and business model innovation. Existence holding BUMN Pangan is also a top priority in the transformation of the food industry considering Indonesia as an agricultural country.

Deputy Minister of BUMN I, Pahala Nugraha Mansury said the signing of the Inbreng Deed was a historic moment considering it consisted of merging Food SOEs into one Food SOE holding.

“With the formation of the Food SOE Holding, it is hoped that it will strengthen the food sector as a whole by combining strengths together, through strategic efforts, starting from increasing production capacity, expanding market access and food distribution networks. potential, relying on the supply chain as well as the application of technology and business digitization,” explained Pahala in an official statement, Friday (7/1/2022).
