Unexpected goodbye
The American rock group Foo Fighters had to unexpectedly say goodbye to drummer, Taylor Hawkins, on March 25, 2022. He passed away at the age of 50 while the band was busy on a world tour. They stopped in the Colombian capital Bogota. The Colombian researchers found traces of ten different narcotic substances in Taylor’s body, including cannabis, antidepressants and painkillers.

Shortly after the news of his death, it was announced that the remaining concerts of the tour would be cancelled. “We take time to grieve, to recover, to keep our loved ones close to us and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together,” it said in a tweet.
–
Taylor Hawkins’ wife has also publicly commented on the news. She thanked all the fans for their support. “My thanks and admiration goes to the global Foo Fighters community,” the statement read. “I want you to know how much you meant to him and how committed he was to blowing your socks off at every performance. Taylor loved you all and we loved you too.” She emphasizes how grateful Taylor was to be part of the band. “We consider all band members as well as all Foo Fighters employees to be part of our family.”
