follow the evolution of the incidence rate and patients in intensive care in the Grand Est and in Bourgogne Franche-Comté

In our regions, the number of patients with Covid-19 present in intensive care units is still bearable for hospital services, but it has recently started to rise again. This trend is being watched closely. Because a larger increase would be the sign of a new major rebound in the epidemic, in regions already particularly damaged since the appearance of the pandemic in March.

Incidence rate

Since the end of the summer, the circulation of the virus has increased in France. More than half of the French departments are now part of the three alert zones defined by the government.

These areas (alert, enhanced alert and maximum alert) reinforce the powers of the prefect who is able to take several drastic measures to slow the progression of the virus. From the simple limitation of gatherings to local containment, as we explain to you in this video.

Incidence rate: Meurthe-et-Moselle again above the alert threshold

This ranking depends largely on the incidence rate. The alert threshold is triggered when the weekly number of positive Covid-19 tests exceeds 50 people per 100,000 inhabitants.
