Professor Philippe Sansonetti, is a doctor and researcher in French microbiology. Researcher at the Institut Pasteur and professor at the Collège de France, he is director of the INSERM 786 unit entitled “Colonization and microbial invasion of the mucous membranes” and of the “Molecular microbial pathogenesis” unit at the Institut Pasteur. He holds the Microbiology and Infectious Diseases chair, will give a conference entitled “Covid-19 or the chronicle of a predicted emergence” live on the College de France website.
