New Yorker for five years, Ael, the youngest of Florent Pagny’s tribe, went to report in these streets where fashion appears again.
Ael Pagny a photography in the blood. Artist at heart, the one who continues to paint and draw remembers that at 13 already she liked to capture moments in her lens. So it was only natural that she left for New York to learn this art at the Parsons School of Design, where she studied photography for two and a half years before entering an internship in a creative studio.
Today, the young woman with brown hair, has taken off in artistic terms. She works for the clothing brand Post-Imperial and as a freelance photographer while continuing to explore this city that she loves so much, her camera slung over her shoulder.
For us, the daughter of singer Florent Pagny, who turns 60 this Saturday, November 6, reported this series taken in the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan, which finally find their legendary spirit after a long period of confinement. ” It’s been a few months since the place started to reopen, she tells us. And it’s amazing to see this explosion of people coming back. During the pandemic, the city was deserted which, for New York, is a real shock. Today, the city is again full of people and especially students. We feel that she is happy. It’s so nice to just be outside in the parks with your friends and to be able to share again. »With this renaissance resurfaced the fashion of the street, of which Big Apple is one of the most energetic metropolises.
« Here, it’s a permanent parade, explains Ael. I love to sit in a park, walk down Fifth Avenue, and watch these different styles, both vintage and very modern. There is an incredible mix. Fashion takes a crazy place. »As we stampede at the idea of being able to walk again among the buildings of Manhattan, the images reported by Ael inspire us and transport us to his personal universe, her favorites and her group of friends while on her lovely self-portrait, the young photographer plunges her gaze into ours. ” I liked doing this series for Gala which gave me complete freedom.
