Flop Eleven of IPL 2023 2nd Week: Players Who Performed Poorly

The first two weeks of the 16th edition of IPL are over. Many great moments, last over thrillers and record setting performances have already been born. The cricketing world has also seen some nail-biting finishes in the beginning of this season, which got the fans excited.

While many players performed well for the team, many players lost their footing. Many who had a great first week of the season were unable to improve in the second week. As such, let’s check the XI that includes the players who performed poorly in the second week of IPL 2023.

Openers: Prithvi Shah, Prabhsimran Singh

Prithvi Shah is the worst performer this season. In the match against Rajasthan, the player scored 15 runs from 10 balls against Mumbai. Prabhsimran, on the other hand, returned clean sheet in both the matches he played this week. The player failed after firing against Rajasthan.

Middle Order: Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, Rovman Powell

Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson is the captain of this week’s Flop XI. Sanju was out for zero in both the matches he played this week. Sanju defeated in the first two matches and failed in the next two.

Sky, who have been in poor form for the season, scored just one run from both matches last week. Sky scored a single run against Chennai and returned with a golden duck against Delhi.

Rovman Powell’s bad season continues. In the match against Rajasthan, Powell was dismissed for two runs, but in the match against Mumbai, he scored four runs from four balls, but was caught in front of the wicket by Piyush Chawla.

All Rounders: Krunal Pandya, Shardul Thakur

Thakur, who was the lord of Kolkata Knight Riders in the first week, lost both matches last week. He got out as a golden duck in the match against Gujarat Titans and scored 12 runs from seven balls against Sunrisers. The player bowled 3.5 overs from both matches and conceded 54 runs.

Krunal, who performed flawlessly in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, was defeated in the next match. The player bowled four overs and conceded 35 runs and was out as a silver duck in the match.

Bowlers: Adam Zampa, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal, T. Natarajan

Adam Sampa bowled for the first time in the season against Chennai Super Kings. Moeen Ali was dismissed but conceded 43 runs. Kolkata’s Lockie Ferguson conceded 40 runs in four overs in the match against Gujarat Titans. The star’s fate was to end in Harry Brook’s rampage in the first century of IPL 2023. Ferguson conceded 37 runs in just two overs. No wickets were taken in either match.

Yash Dayal played only one match last week. In the match against Kolkata, Rinku Singh conceded 69 runs in four overs, including five sixes in the last over. No wicket was taken. The player was also dropped from the team in the next match against Gujarat.

Sunrisers’ T. The last week was also miserable for Natarajan. The player who conceded 40 runs in the match against Punjab took one wicket and conceded 54 runs against KKR.
