A flight on its way to Malaga from Oslo had to turn around on Thursday evening. This is due to strong winds at the airport in Malaga, press contact at Norwegian, Silje Glorvigen, informs VG.

– They had to divert to Alicante due to the weather conditions at Malaga airport, says Glorvigen.

She says that Norwegian is working to find a solution for the passengers who are now in Alicante, as well as for the passengers who were going on the return flight from Malaga.

Glorvigen says that Norwegian will contact all affected passengers.

– The weather was not good when we were about to land. It didn’t look like that when we took off. Several planes did as we did and flew on to second place, says the captain over the facility, according to a VG reporter on board the plane.

– The winds were very strong down there. There was a storm that probably passed. If there is an improvement in the weather, we will make another attempt to fly back to Malaga, but the head office will have to help me with that, says the captain.
