Esther, a flight attendant for the Dutch airline KLM, explains that she uses a strange technique when traveling that can protect against people hiding in your bedroom.

Esther explained that she uses a water bottle for this reason. It helps her “make sure nothing is under the bed.”

A flight attendant has observed that if she ever worries that someone is under the bed in a hotel room, she simply throws the bottle on the bed. If there is no ill will, the bottle “comes out the other side”.

Ester points out that if there is a risk that someone is hiding, the bottle will get stuck under the bed. However, you should make sure that there is nothing in the bed that would block the bottom of the bed, such as a suitcase.
