FlexFuel Energy Development Establishes Presence in both China and United States within the Automotive Industry – Presse Agence Sport

Building on its experience in Europe and Asia-Oceania, and after an exceptional year 2022.

FLEXFUEL ENERGY DEVELOPMENT (FFED), a specialist in engine pollution control and fuel savings, continues to grow and strengthens internationally with the deployment in the 1st quarter of 2023 of its complete range of hydrogen technologies in China and the United States.

Since February 15, 2023, FFED has opened an office in Shenzhen and created a joint venture, Green Hydrogen Energy, with a major market player, Hong Huan Group, around an exclusive distribution partnership in China. FFED is thus strengthening its presence in Asia-Oceania, where it has been present since 2017(1). This partnership will make it possible to work with Chinese institutions, local governments and also the automotive sector. The Chinese market will mainly focus on light commercial vehicles and heavy trucks.

For Steven Fong, President of Green Hydrogen Energy: “Our objective is to deploy 10,000 Hy-Carbon Connect stations within 3 years across China and Asia. Our President Xi Jinping said, “China aims for a drastic reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.” We believe that FFED’s technology combined with the competitive manufacturing cost in China will enable Green Hydrogen Energy to help achieve such a goal by substantially reducing the pollution created by light and heavy vehicles, boats and industrial equipment! “.

FFED has also established itself, since March 1, 2023, in the United States via the creation of a joint venture, FFED America, to market its entire range of hydrogen technologies in North America and Canada.

For Jérôme Loubert, Commercial Director of FFED: “We wanted this joint venture because the United States is a very buoyant market for engine pollution control and energy transition with 283 million cars, SUVs and pick-ups in circulation, 12.2 years old on average (2). »

FFED will retain full control of the manufacture in France of its advanced technologies and will eventually assemble its range of products locally in a logic of competitiveness and ecology to export French know-how as well as possible.

FFED will export its entire range of hydrogen technologies: H2 Hybrid systems and Hy-Carbon Connect stations.

H2 Hybrid systems operate by injecting hydrogen produced “without storage” by electrolysis of water. They adapt to all industrial diesel engines (generators, locomotives, boats), optimize consumption, reduce polluting emissions by 54% on average, and maintain optimal engine operation. For example, FFED, via its distributor Ethabox, has just entered into a contract for the equipment of Pilotage Marseille boats, which ultimately aims to save more than €150,000 per year in fuel on its fleet of 40 boats (on the basis of 75,000 L/year at €0.93/L) and reduce its C02 emissions by 400 tonnes per year.

FFED’s flagship product, hydrogen descaling, Hy-Carbon Connect, is an ecological cleaning technology for diesel and gasoline engines by injecting hydrogen, without chemical additives. It reduces fuel consumption by up to 15%, extends the life of the engine, while making it less polluting by 54% on average.

50 Hy-Carbon Connect stations and 50 Hy-Carbon Connect Trucks stations have been ordered by China and 15 Hy-Carbon Connect stations by the United States. Major tenders for H2 Hybrid systems are underway.
