Vegas Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury reacted to the controversial photo posted the day before by his agent Allan Walsh on Twitter on Sunday.

“Allan has been my agent for a while,” said the Quebecer during a video conference. I have known him since I was 15. We are close. I think he’s a guy who always protects his players and cares about them. I appreciate his passion. It was his way of defending me when I don’t play a lot. “
“At the end of the day, I’m here to win with my team, that’s what matters. That’s why I asked Allan to remove the photo this morning. ”

On Saturday, Walsh shared a photo in which Fleury was seen pierced by a sword with “DeBoer” written on it.

Golden Knights head coach Peter DeBoer made Robin Lehner his number one goaltender since the start of the playoffs, so Fleury only made one game against the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round .
Fleury says she discussed the photo with her trainer.
“It was good to be able to clarify things together. I don’t like to be a distraction for the team, ”he said.
